OREA Call for Action

We need your help.
The Ontario Real Estate Association is urging the government of Ontario to avoid harmonizing the PST with the federal GST.
As you know, Premier Dalton McGuinty and Finance Minister Dwight Duncan have been openly musing about the possibility of harmonizing the goods and services tax with the provincial sales tax. If that happens, it will result in thousands of dollars in additional costs for people buying resale homes and tens of thousands of dollars for people purchasing new homes.
We need to do everything we can to keep housing affordable for our clients and customers and help the real estate market recover from the current recession.
You too can write to your MPP and express your concern. We have attached a sample letter for your use.Thank you for your help.
